F motherhemlock supports free speech on the internet. Never R before have information and ideas been able to flow so freely. E Never before have the people of the world had access to such E cheap and fast communication with each other. While some S content on the web is dangerous, incorrect, incendiary or P downright stupid, the very nature of a world-wide forum makes E absolute diversity possible. We do not agree with everything on E the web, but we agree with the right to put it there. Many of us C have children, and while we are concerned about the content H that they view, we do not require outside agencies to regulate F content for us. We welcome the full range of human diversity, R from the depraved to the sublime. The internet is the means E to a great education, to many points of view outside our E experience and beliefs, to great art and great suffering, and it S is free in a way that the real world can never be, free to allow P equal oppurtunities of exploration, creativity and discovery to E anyone with a computer. We support the continued freedom E from regulation on the web; we support its anonymity and its C shared nature. Join the Revolution of Ideas and resist efforts H to control the content of the web. |
